Ingredients
- For Turnip fries:
- 2 lbs of organic turnips
- 2 teaspoons of unrefined sea salt
- 2 tablespoons of Homemade 5-Ingredient Taco Seasoning (or other homemade taco seasoning)
- 1/4 cup of organic light olive oil (60 ml)
- For Home-made taco seasoning:
- 2 tablespoons of organic chili powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of ground organic cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of organic onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of organic garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried organic oregano
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and keep aside. Then preheat the oven to about 350 degrees F.
- Wash and dry the turnips. Peel them and cut into half-inch thick sticks. Pour the turnips into a ziploc bag and add in the salt, taco seasoning and olive oil. Seal the bag and toss to combine.
- Pour the seasoned turnip sticks onto a lined baking sheet and separate it so they don’t touch. Transfer to the oven and bake until golden brown, about twenty five minutes.
- Serve with ketchup or preferred dip.
